Total Reliance Logistics Boosts Shipping Infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic Region

To increase capacity and improve service throughout the Mid-Atlanta region, where demand for freight transportation continues to grow, Total Reliance Logistics (TRL) recently added a new 26-foot straight truck to its expanding fleet.

The asset was purchased in response to a growing demand and driver shortages impacting the already tight trucking market. Carrier rates are increasing and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future, which will significantly impact the cost of purchased transportation in the industry. TRL has responded by improving efficiencies, adding commercial assets, and delivering reliable and affordable services nationwide.

“This new addition to our fleet marks an important milestone in our long-term growth strategy that will create immediate value for our customers as well,” said Denise Magalotti, CEO, Total Reliance Logistics. “The purchase of a new straight truck will help us expand and strengthen our footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region, enhance our service offerings, and reduce costs on behalf of our customers.”

High demand for freight transportation across the United States has been driven by post-lockdown restocking, limited air-freight capacity, and incremental demand for stay-at-home goods and personal protective equipment (PPE). In response, strategic enhancements such as this acquisition enable Total Reliance Logistics to continue to provide industry-leading freight transportation support.

In addition to increasing demand throughout the shipping industry, a driver shortage has also impacted the trucking market and driven additional rate increases. In these uncertain times, shippers need certainty in their chosen carrier, a promise that freight will be picked up and delivered on time. TRL continues to strengthen its infrastructure to ensure it’s on time every time promise is met.

“We’ve stayed ahead of the freight market so far, and we understand the increasing demand that’s occurring in the most important lanes in the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said Magalotti. “In response, we are focused on evaluating and executing various growth strategies, highlighted by this successful acquisition. Whether Expedite, Truckload, or LTL, we are ready to support the needs of our clients.”
